Thank you for joining us for MS Challenge Walk Cape Cod!
This weekend you bonded on the walk route, stopping at rest stops with many themes, including one with Lego people! The music theme was apparent on Friday night with a performance from guitarist Scott Lindberg and on Saturday evening with the Million Miles Song. You cried together at the Saturday night candlelight ceremony that celebrated our connections to MS and the reasons we decided to "accept the Challenge." On Sunday, you paraded together to the Hyannis Village Green in a sea of orange and blue tee shirts.
Keep in touch with your Challenge Walk "family" by visiting our Facebook page. Many pictures and inspiring stories from the weekend have already been posted to the page. Please join the conversation and share your own experience at the Challenge Walk.
Make sure you register to join us in 2013 for the MS Challenge Walk. Go to mschallengewalkcapecod.org and click on "2013 Registration and Details". Contact us for a coupon to register for $25, a $50 discount off the registration fee. This code will expire on October 31, 2012.
Our finance office is working to process donations that were turned in at the MS Challenge Walk. Donations that come in before October 7th will count towards your donation total for 2012.
We are still striving to reach our goal this year for the MS Challenge Walk. Just because the Challenge weekend is over, doesn't mean the fundraising has to stop. Donations are coming in online and through the mail every day. But, we need your continued efforts to ensure we hit this mark.
Are there friends and family members who have promised to donate but have yet to do so? We encourage you to send them and email or letter reminding them of their pledge. We need all Challenge Walkers to reach their fundraising goals so that together we can all continue to create a world free of MS. If you are having troubles reaching your goal, please do not hesitate to contact the MS Challenge Walk Team, and we can work together to find the best fundraising methods for you.
Don't forget to send a thank you e-mail or letter to your donors, and let them know about your journey this weekend.
You'll be hearing from me again in the next few weeks, with a list of items we've got in our lost & found from the weekend.
All the best,
Danielle Kempe, Manager
