Inaugural cornhole tournament

Please join team Bonnie's Believers at our inaugural charity cornhole tournament (also known as a bean bag toss) to help raise funds for the tenth annual MS Challenge Walk. The event is Saturday, July 23, 11 AM – 5 PM, at the Medway VFW.

A $40 donation provides entry into the tournament ($25 for non-participants), along with free beer and food for the day. Soda, water, and mixed beverages will be available for purchase throughout the day. Food will include burgers, hot dogs, and salad. This is a kid-friendly event, too, with plenty of room to run around.

We will have raffles during the day for all who donate and cash prizes for the winners. We will gladly accept raffle prizes and/or donations if you do not want to participate in the tournament.

Bonnie's Believers' third annual bar crawl

Please join us Bonnie's Believers for their third annual MS bar crawl! This year we are moving the crawl to South Boston, home of some of the best, most fun and most famous bars. The tour will consist of six bars, 60 minutes each, beginning on August 13 at 2 PM and ending at 9 PM. The exact schedule is TBD. A $20 donation to our MS Challenge Walk fundraising includes a ticket into our raffle and an MS support bracelet.

Walkers' view of the MS Challenge Walk

The first photos of the MS Challenge Walk were posted last week, courtesy professional photographer Andrew Child. Since then, hundreds more pictures have surfaced online, posted by those who walked the walk. Each of these eight photographers have graciously allowed us to share their albums with you here on our blog. Ken, a Worcester resident, joined the MS Challenge Walk in 2005, more than a decade after his mother was diagnosed. After walking for three years and 150 miles, he switched to the support crew and now rides his bicycle along the trail, providing whatever encouragement (and snacks!) he can to the 600 walkers. He is also on the event's steering committee and is this site's webmaster.

Kahuna Crawl for a Cure

Join us in Boston on Aug. 14 for a pub crawl — six bars, ninety minutes each — to benefit the Bonnie's Believers Challenge Walk team as we strive to find a cure for MS. Put on your best (or worst!) Hawaiian shirts, coconut bras, and grass skirts and come on out for a day of fun and friends. All who donate will be entered into several raffles for prizes that include a Blu Ray player, PSP Go video game console, personal DVD player, Flip video camera, and more!

A donation of $20 will enter you into the raffle and all the bars. Join us at any point along the route:

noon – 1:30: The Tap

1:30 – 3:00: Blackstone Grill

3:00 – 4:30: Red Sky

4:30 – 6:00: Black Rose

6:00 – 7:30: McFadden's

7:30 – 9:00: Clarke's

Bonnie's Believers is having a fundraiser night at Pizza Hut. The restaurant will donate 20% of your purchase (excluding alcoholic beverages) toward the team's fundraising for the MS Challenge Walk. Boston Bar Crawl fundraiser

Join our Bar Crawl to help Bonnie's Believers. Your $20 donation gets you an MS wrist band, free appetizers, and ten raffle tickets — not to mention a great time!

At each bar we will hold a raffle for either prizes or a 50/50. You won't know what raffle will take place at what bar, so you need to be at all of them to get the best prizes!

We will depart from each bar at 10 minutes before the top of the hour to arrive on time at each stop. Also,if you can't make it from beginning to end, feel free to join us at any of the stops along the way!
